No brothers or sisters?!?!?!

Madison was asked the other night by Peter "do you want a new brother?" "No." was her reply. "Well do you want a sister?" "Nope I just want a cousin."

I guess we are off the hook....

TAGGED?!?!?!?- 7 Quirks

I'm been tagged...Thanks a lot Kristin! After spending days thinking about my quirks I've decided that I'm truly weird and that I have issues with my bedtime ritual and sleeping...
1- Before I go to bed my hair has to be on top of my head in a ponytail; I have to have chapstick on and my bladder has to be completely empty. If I even lay in bed for 5 minutes and don't fall asleep I have to get back up and go to the bathroom. Yes those nights suck that I toss and turn for hours.

2- I rotate my pillow nightly because I always have to sleep on the clean side of the pillowcase.

3- When Peter and I travel together (if ever) we always sleep on the opposite side of the bed than we normally do at home. It was never discussed we always just switched sides. Weird....

4-I have a thing for public restrooms...I will not touch any part of the toliet and I won't let Madison either. Maybe that's why potty training has been so hard....

5-I have to have shoes on at all times in hotel rooms.....even right out of the shower. My bare feet or socked feet CANNOT touch the floor.

6-When I get out of the shower I have to put on something that has just been washed. Even if I try a shirt or pants on for thirty seconds and decide not to wear them they are dirty. They can be worn after work but not right out of the shower.

7-I ask "Why" about everything. This drives people nuts...but I'm inquisitive what can I say?

I could go on and on...but this is plenty. So I tag: Jordyn S, Karen H, and Alison Henrie. Have fun ladies!

Sweetest Words!

Peter made his first trip to Fort McMurray today after not travelling for over a month and when Madison talked to him tonight she said "Daddy be sure not to get lost and make sure you come home ok?" What a sweet girl!

Sun Baby Sun!

Yes after being home almost 2 weeks I am FINALLY getting my pictures of Mexico up. To try and defend myself a little bit for taking so long....I came home to piles and piles of work, a very sick husband thus no laundry done or house cleaned, and a dog, husband and daughter that have needed a lot of attention.
Now to get to the good part. We had fabulous time in Cancun for a whole week. The weather was Fabulous and so was the company (I guess) :) This trip was a family trip with my mom and all of my siblings(spouses and kids) before my little brother Wes goes on his mission in August. It was so fun to have everyone together and I am so thankful to my mom for putting it all together.
Here are just a few shots until I can figure out how to create a slide show....

This is Madison and "Little Fella". I have no clue where she came up with that name but if you tried to call it something else she would say "NO it's little fella" or "where is my little fella?" Very cute!

Kudos to Karen!

So my "babysitter" Karen was offended that I called her my babysitter and I owe her an apology. Let me try and redeem myself a bit....not everyone knows who you are ...but now they will never forget. And in all fairness you ARE so much more than a babysitter and I'm so grateful for everything you do!
If you want to see my cute, dear, friend Karen, who ALSO watches my daughter during the day go to my contacts and click on Karen and Alex Hill to see their cute family and Madisons "Other family"

What the heck?!?!?!

OK so remember that picture I posted of Spring a few posts ago. If not scroll down to see what my fun life is like AGAIN! Yes for the last 2 days it has been snowing constantly and often times it's been white out conditions. We have about a foot of snow, the winds have been gusting to around 40 mph and the temperature has not been above 20 with a windchill of -20. Last night as we were driving home from dinner in white out conditions I'm pretty sure I saw a few snow plows out plowing the road. The crappy thing....we are supposed to get another foot or more over the next few days! Yes it looks like I'm going to have to shovel the walks again. I'd wait for it to melt, but up here if you don't shovel your walks within 48 hours of a storm you can get a huge ticket. I will be soooooo ready for Mexico!
