Special Easter Weekend

For our Easter weekend we travelled up to Fort McMurray where Peter's brother Al & his wife Cindy live for the blessing of their first child and Madison's first cousin on Peter's side. We left on Saturday afternoon, blessed the baby on Sunday morning, had a quick dinner and left for home again. It was a quick trip but so worth it to see cute little Mara.

What ever happened to using your imagination on road trips and playing slug bug or trying to find the alaphet first on billboards? I do have to say that portable DVD players are truly great for a parents sanity though.

Nightly Routine

Madison and Peter have a nightly routine where she will sit with him in his chair and they will watch a movie while she has a "bottle". Trying to get her out of that chair and up to bed is HUGE test of will & patience.

"My body is melting"...another excuse she uses not to get in bed.

So Peter finally took Madison to her 1st NHL hockey game. As you can see she had a blast! I was so impressed that my little 3 year old made it thru a whole hockey game. We were in the midst of potty training her and so I put a pull up on her, but Daddy decided to take her to the boys bathroom anyway. She got into the stall and yelled so everyone could hear "DADDY THIS IS DISGUSTING!!" That's my baby girl.
